Mending The Tears...

We walk around our entire life wondering where we we are going and tend to leave people behind...We forget that there are people who not only care about us but love us, and miss us. We move on and forget what is really important, even after we've burnt down bridges, and crossed paths that we can't go back to again. One day you wake up and realize that your entire world has changed and you have either hurt or left behind those who you couldn't even imagine living without...

Our lives are a quilt made of many different patches of many different colors, each square telling stories, and truths. When we leave those we love behind  thinking of passing them by for greener grass it rips tears in the quilt as it ages. To mend these tears it is simply needed to realize that they are there, and mend them one stitch at a time. Bring the people back into your life that you thought were long gone from your life. Remember that as any person ages, and gets older so do our friends, and when time passes the number of friends dwindles. It is important to keep close to those who know the real you from when you were young, The family and friends who can tell whats wrong by just looking at your expression.

So, the point of this post is to make you think...

~ Who are those people that you haven't spoken to in a few months, maybe even a few years?

~ Do you want those people back into your life?

~ What and who do you want to remember when your old and senile?

~ If someone has hurt you in the past, could they have changed, or be willing to start again?

~ What ever happened to this person?

~ What is this person doing now?

etc...

In other words, take time to seek forgiveness for wrongdoings to loved ones in your past, or seek the company of those you have thought you lost because you never know when they will be gone for good. Spend time trying to mend the tears because you never know when you might learn something amazing you hadn't before, or find something even deeper to bind yourself to that friend or family member. The important thing to know is that people change, and just because someone hurt you when you were young doesn't mean they are the same person 5-10 years later, even 1-2 years later...People will always make mistakes, but if they are willing to get back up and seek to sew up the rips, and patch the holes in relationships then they really are the ones who can surprise you...

So here is your assignment if you choose to accept it: Look at the people you have lost touch with, and pick one, call them, text them, facebook them, but try to get in touch, and see who that person has become, talk to them, reintroduce yourself, if nothing comes of it then so be it. If anything else you have at least brought forth the possibility of you reclaiming a lost friend, or family member, to bring them back into your life.
